Panssari, our Cantabrian startup specializing in advanced security technology, has signed a partnership agreement with Noatum Terminal Polivalente Santander (Noatum TPS) and the Santander Port Authority (APS) to launch an ambitious pilot project that will transform the way critical port areas are secured and managed.
This milestone marks a significant step forward in the Port of Santander’s evolution toward its vision of becoming a smart, safe, and efficient port, in line with its 2030 Strategic Plan. The project will be carried out over the coming months at the Noatum TPS facilities and is funded with 380,000 euros granted by the Ports 4.0 Program, promoted by Puertos del Estado and the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility.
The signing of the agreement reflects the synergy between key institutions and local entrepreneurial talent. In the words of César Díaz, president of the APS, “this initiative is an example of the talent and innovative capacity of Cantabrian technology-based companies to develop solutions applicable in ports.”
Helena Calva, CEO of Panssari, noted: “This pilot not only validates our technology, but also allows us to adapt it in real time to a complex and dynamic environment like the port, where safety and efficiency go hand in hand.”
The system that Panssari will deploy's based on a combination of cutting-edge technologies:
🔹 Digital access control and anonymous tracking of authorized users.
🔹 Real-time geolocation using radio-frequency devices.
🔹 Advanced AI vision with image tagging.
🔹 Predictive AI to anticipate anomalous behavior.
All of this will eventually be integrated into a visual, modular, and scalable platform, providing real-time contextualized information on interactive 3D maps, becoming the first comprehensive digital security twin.
This project also contributes to the automation and optimization of the logistics chain. The initiative aligns with the need for ports to move toward environments where prevention, traceability, and efficiency are key pillars of decision-making.
This installation establishes Panssari as a strategic technology provider and demonstrates the viability of its technology in real-world environments. With the support of Puertos del Estado, Noatum TPS, and the APS, Panssari has established itself as one of the most promising startups in the field of smart physical security nationwide.
